Epichlorohydrin is manufactured in our factories of Rheinberg (Germany) and Tavaux (France).
Solvay is building a new epichlorohydrin plant on its industrial site of Tavaux implementing a new process with greatly enhanced environmental performance.
The process, called EpicerolTM was successfully developed by Solvay's R&D and is based on tne transformation of glycerine, a by-product of the biodiesel industry. The new plant is scheduled to be operational by the first half of 2007.

Solvay distributes epichlorohydrin :
- in railcars (32m³ or 62m³)

- in tank truck (road tank) or ISO container (24m³)

Shipments in barge or vessel are also possible.
Epichlorohydrin is also available :
- in 230 kg net metallic drums

- in special IBCs of about 1000 l
